Folding Wooden Chessboard with Magnetic Pieces – Gambit

A chessboard isn't judged by looks alone.

Place a piece: the felt glides silently over the solid walnut, then the magnet locks it firmly onto its square — that feeling is what separates a real set from a toy.

32 pieces + 2 queens included, a folding board that closes in one move to take anywhere, available in two sizes: 29×29 cm or 39×39 cm.

Shipped from Switzerland, delivered in 2-3 days.

Because a generic chessboard won't withstand regular use. Gambit is designed for players who want reliable equipment, not a toy — solid wood, felted pieces, and a folding format for play anywhere.

The 29×29 cm is ideal for playing on the go or in a small space. The 39×39 cm offers more comfort for a game at home, with larger and easier-to-handle pieces.

Yes – each piece is felted underneath to slide with precision, without catching or marking the wood. It's this detail that differentiates a decorative object from a true game tool.

The fact that it folds is really practical. It's easy to store and takes up almost no space. I can also take it anywhere.

    Julia Steck Verified Review

I used to play on a plastic chessboard, but since I got this wooden one, I'd never go back. It really changes the playing experience and the quality is excellent.

  • Excellent quality

    Antoine Zumbino Verified Review

I always played on my phone and my eyes got tired quickly. Since I got a real chessboard, playing is much more enjoyable.

  • A pleasure to play

    Diego Barone Verified Review

I gave it to my son and he loved it right away. He plays much more often now, sometimes even with his friends. Very happy with my purchase, especially seeing him enjoy playing so much.
